Horizontal Asset Management Services

Sustainable Runoff Solutions can provide horizontal asset management services to better plan, budget maintenance and schedule repairs for your property’s infrastructure. Horizontal assets are the various systems outside the building envelope, on and underground that serve the tenants, customers and owners. These systems include pavements, curbs, sidewalks, storm sewers, ponds and LID systems.

From pavement to pipes, we utilize geographic information system (GIS) or a mapping database to identify and inventory the various assets within your property. The GIS will link the system’s representative symbol from an aerial map of your property with service dates, design plans, specifications, inspection reports, maintenance records and other relevant information associated with that specific system on your property. This data is ranked with and summarized in a report as a tool to make proactive decisions on when it may be the best time to clean a pond or overlay a parking lot. A proactive approach to asset management will save you money by minimizing reactive decisions. Typically, if you wait to repair an asset that is showing signs of failure, the damage can extend into adjacent infrastructure.

Our asset management services will provide inventory and condition information to make the most cost effective decisions for the property’s stormwater drainage system.

Inspections

Sustainable Runoff Solutions can conduct routine inspections of your property’s horizontal assets to evaluate the condition of each system, locate potential structural issues and identify if the system is functioning as intended. Our inspectors are certified with the Colorado Stormwater Center to understand the purpose and what to look for with each system. We also utilize inspection procedures accepted by Mile High Flood District and various proprietary system manufacturers.
